Avocor launches new F50 series of interactive displays at InfoComm 18

Natalie Harris-Briggs  June 2, 2018

AVOCOR, the fastest-growing collaboration display company in the world, today announced an important step forward in collaboration display technology, flexibility and effectiveness with the launch of its new F series touchscreen displays. An entirely new platform, the F series offers a unique combination of display technology and touchscreen innovation, compelling design and seamless integration into existing rooms, networks and compatibility with the Unified Communications hardware tools you use already. Boasting a superior touch and whiteboard experience because of the dramatically thin InGlass™ technology paired with Avocor proprietary engineering, the optically bonded F50 series is smooth, seamless and accurate down to each pixel. It’s the ideal hardware to pair with the latest UC software tools, including Zoom Rooms and the Microsoft 365 ecosystem with Teams, Skype for Business and Whiteboard, to show Windows at room scale. Ultra-thin and lightweight, the Avocor F50 series is available now in three sizes, including 86-inch (AVF-8650), 75-inch (AVF-7550) and the 65-inch (AVF-6550).

New Ultra-Fast 20-Point Optically Bonded F50 Series Touch Technology
Notably, the F50 series displays are optically bonded, feature a new ultra-fast InGlass™ inking technology that delivers dramatically faster touch performance and the most realistic writing experience. With the very latest Gen4 touch technology, the F50 series also includes four passive pens or up to 20 points of simultaneous touch, which enhance group collaboration, deliver a superior experience that is fast and accurate to the pixel, and the fastest response when users interact with the content on the display. An ideal tool for Microsoft 365 collaboration tools and to produce Windows at room scale, the F series also shows incredible detail and response for any cloud-based content and white-boarding done at the display or from anywhere around the globe. The specially designed 3mm tipped stylus pens provide users with extremely accurate writing on the display for up to 4 people – and feel nearly identical to writing with traditional pen-on-paper. Additionally, object awareness means the display can easily recognize whether you are touching the screen with a pen, finger or palm, and respond accordingly enabling users to take advantage of advanced inking and white-boarding applications.

Seamless Integration into Any Existing Software or System
Like all Avocor products, the new F50 series displays reflect the company’s dedication to agnosticism and interoperability in all its products, making them ideal for use with any UC hardware or software, such as Zoom Rooms, Skype for Business, Logitech, Huddly and others. Unlike display solutions built on a dedicated OS that only work within a single ecosystem, the agnostic F50 series displays work seamlessly with all existing equipment, as well as any potential future hardware or software upgrades.

Avocor CEO Scott Hix commented: “Our new F series reflects a major step in collaboration solutions that meet the needs of today’s rapidly evolving workplace. We have built on the success of the current F series, improving the touch experience to create a solution that truly enhances collaborative working – it’s feels the most like a traditional no-tech pen-and-paper. It combines that feeling with the connectivity, resolution and power that makes interactive displays such important and powerful collaboration tools for huddle spaces, conference rooms and executive offices.”

Wide Range of Connectivity Options for Total Flexibility in Any Work Environment
The Avocor F50 Series features the latest Intel OPS (Open Pluggable Specification) slot. The OPS slot supports HDMI 2.0 allowing for 4K content to be run at 60mhz, while allowing for a modular PC to easily be added to the display without any trailing cables. The displays feature a comprehensive range of connectivity options, including 4 x HDMI 2.0, Display Port, VGA inputs as well as guest HDMI input on the side of the display. The inclusion of a dedicated input for 3rd-party wireless connectivity boxes, such as Barco Clickshare or WePresent, delivers easy access to get devices and their content on the display. The HDMI-out enables screen content to be easily shared with other displays. A speaker bar and mic array round out the collaboration experience.

For an enhanced experience, the Advanced Connect and Control bar also features a side HDMI and USB port as well as a wireless screen sharing button to seamlessly switch to the dedicated HDMI input for 3rd party devices.
The Avocor F series will debut at InfoComm 2018 in Microsoft’s booth N2814, Zoom’s booth N2628, Flat Frog’s booth N2614 and in multiple sizes in Avocor’s booth N2714.
